At 1796m above sea level Mount Wu Wo Wei is the third highest of the Guguan Seven Heroes. There are two routes to the peak, and since this post details the harder of the two, you can expect to have the peaceful forest to yourself for most of the walk.

MOUNT SHAMAO TRAIL (紗帽山)
An easy spring hike in Yangmingshan national park for lizard lovers to enjoy. If you go at the right time of day, you can soak your feet (and body) afterwards in the public hot spring baths.
ST. MARIAN’S HIKING TRAIL (聖母山步道)
St. Marian's Hiking Trail, also known more recently as Matcha Mountain is a well known trail in Yilan's Jiaoxi District. It's a big climb with views that are guaranteed to make you glad you made the effort.
